I might have mentioned how easy it is to reach us from the motorway for an overstay. Just exit from the motorway on exit no 37 and drive the one kilometer it takes to leave the noise behind. Open the car door and here the birds singing. If you then wish to find out what the northeast part of Skåne has to offer there is something to do and see all year around. Following are a few suggestions just around the corner.
Why not find out about the night life as well as the shopping areas in Båstad, Ängelholm and Helsingborg.
You can easily, within 30 minutes, reach one of the roughly
25 golf courses that surrounds the area. So pack your bag.
The Bjäre peninsula is crowded with beaches. I can recommend Ängelholms 6 kilometer long beach. Pack your cooler and put on your swim suite. It's going to be a hot day.
The hiking trails of Djurholmen, located on top of the Hallandsås ridge above the lake
Västersjön offers numerous trails through beech forests, creeks and places of interest.
Well arranged public barbecues and picnic areas.
Of course there is a lake nearby if you like fishing, lake Västersjön. There are fishing permits and boats to rent at the lake. There is also a handicap lift by the boats so everyone can join. Catch a little fish and then makeup a good story of how big it was.For those of you who like swimming better you can do that at the
Ugglehultswimming area. Bathing jetties from May to September.
The Hallandsås ridge offer the most southern down hill skiing slopes in Sweden. Well prepared slopes, sunshine and some hot chocolate is a combination hard to beat.
Size matters. Go and see the exhibition of the gigantic Hallandsås tunnel.
